Rainy Day Hot Springs
It's November in western Washington, which means there's enough rainfall to make you sometimes wonder if you'll ever see the sun again. My family visited from Minnesota, and even though the forecast was guaranteed rain, we decided to make the most of our day by heading outdoors. We opted for a hike deep into the mountains to reach a natural hot spring, an area I had been meaning to visit for over three years (no lie). The adventure lead us through foggy backroads, down long winding paths, and eventually to a gloriously natural hot spring, complete with a cave pool. This was my very first visit to a natural hot spring in the Pacific Northwest. I'm not sure why it took me so long because this place looked and felt like heaven.
