Yosemite Valley Roads
Yosemite National Park is known by many as one of the country's most visited national parks. In the prime summer season, upon visiting the park, especially the Valley, you'll find yourself among hoards of tourists. All the more reason to schedule your visit in the off-season. This past December, we paid the park a visit. Coincidentally, the timing of our visit matched up with the arrival of a significant rain storm sweeping through the area, leaving the park even more vacant than it normally is that time of year. The result was euphoric: we basically had the entire Valley to ourselves. I took advantage of this rare solitude by capturing a series of images of the slick, reflective Valley roads void of all traffic.
